Doors Open 5:30, film begins at 6:00PM

Denver is one of the most rapidly gentrifying cities in the United States, and its local politicians don’t seem to be doing much to help its residents of color. For these four women — Candi CdeBaca, Lisa Calderón, Veronica Barela, and Shayla Richard decide to take matters into their own hands and run for office. Follow director and Denver resident Rebekah Henderson as she follows each of their campaigns — through ups and downs, the four candidates come together to share resources and ensure that at least one of them gets a victory.

After the screening Women Uprising will be hosting a conversation about how progressive women navigate political spaces and how we can move our collective liberation forward.
