60th NEWSED Civil Rights Award Gala

We are excited to welcome you to NEWSED’s 33rd Annual Civil Rights Awards Gala, where we will honor exceptional individuals and organizations in our community who are committed to advancing civil rights. Our celebration continues the legacy of the historic struggle for equality, from the abolition of slavery to the transformative efforts of the Civil Rights Movement led by icons like Martin Luther King Jr. and Rosa Parks. These courageous actions paved the way for the landmark 1964 Civil Rights Act, which dismantled barriers and empowered all Americans to pursue their dreams free from discrimination.

Join us on September 25, 2024, at Reel Works in the RiNo neighborhood of Denver, from 5:00-8:30 PM, as we commemorate the 60th anniversary of the Civil Rights Act. This special evening will bring together leaders, activists, and community members to celebrate this pivotal milestone and renew our shared commitment to freedom and equality for all.
